Japan manga artist, Shigeru Mizuki, died this morning in a Tokyo hospital of heart failure.
Born in 1922, Mizuki fought in WWII. An injury during the war resulted in his left arm being amputated. After returning from the war, Mizuki went to art school which he never graduated and worked odd jobs until began drawing manga.
His manga series such as GeGeGe no Kitarou and Akuma-kun established him as a manga master of horror genre.
